Checks
What we check.
Every person gets three checks: their ID, a face match and liveness. Verify runs them for $1 a person. Access runs them when the ticket is bought and matches the face at the door, $2 a person. Watchlist, bank account and contact checks can be added to Verify when you need them.
ID
Verify and AccessReads the front and back of their ID and confirms it is genuine and current.
- Reads name, date of birth, ID number, expiry and address
- Confirms the ID has not expired
- Checks the front and back agree with each other
- Validates the barcode or machine-readable zone check digits
- Confirms the ID type is one you accept
- Checks a minimum age, when you set one
- Asks for a new photo when the ID is blurry or unreadable
Face
Verify and AccessMatches their selfie to the photo on the ID.
- Scores how closely the selfie matches the ID photo
- Catches the same ID or selfie reused in another check
Liveness
Verify and AccessA few head movements confirm a real person is there, live.
- Random head movements, different for every check
- Detects a printed photo held up to the camera
- Detects a phone or computer screen held up to the camera
- Detects the same still image sent more than once
- Ties every frame to this one check, so an old recording cannot be reused
Watchlist
Optional with VerifyScreens their name against US sanctions and FBI wanted lists.

- Separates a close match from a possible one
Bank
Optional with VerifyConfirms they own the bank account with two small deposits.
- Checks the routing number is a real US bank
- Sends two small deposits to the account
- The person confirms the exact amounts
- Limited tries, and the deposits expire if not confirmed
Contact
Optional with VerifyChecks that their email address and phone number are real.
- Confirms the email domain can receive mail
- Flags throwaway email addresses
- Confirms the phone number is valid
- Flags internet phone numbers and premium-rate lines
- Can send a one-time code to confirm the email is theirs
