Cookie Policy

The one cookie we set and what stays in your browser.

Effective October 17, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains the small amount of information Identity Entry stores in your browser, why it is stored and how you can control it. It applies to the website, the console and the capture pages.

2. What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small file a website places in your browser. Browser storage, sometimes called local storage, lets a site keep small settings on your device. Both can be used for many purposes. Identity Entry uses them only for the purposes below.

3. The session cookie

Signing in to the console sets one session cookie. It is marked HttpOnly, which means page scripts cannot read it. It keeps you signed in to your workspace and is cleared when you sign out or when the session ends. Without it, you cannot stay signed in.

4. Settings in your browser

Your light or dark display choice and any drafts you are writing are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent anywhere on their own.

5. Capture pages

The capture page a person uses to complete a check works from the signed link itself. It does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

6. What we do not use

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No tracking cookies or tracking pixels.
  • No cookies that follow you across other websites.
  • No sale of information collected through cookies.

7. How to control cookies

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and local storage in their settings. You can clear the display setting and drafts at any time. If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in to the console, but the public website and capture pages will still work.

8. Changes and questions

If Identity Entry ever changes how it uses cookies, this policy will be updated first and the effective date above will change. For questions, use the contact page.
